Illinois-based band Careless Sanctions is gearing towards the release of its second single titled “Cognitive Ability.” The new single which will be releasing on October 7, 2022 comes with a distinct, first-of-its-kind feel and vibe as the band used a brand-new digital audio workspace software called Extinction Level Event (ELE) for the drums within the track. The Extinction Level Event drum plug-in is the brainchild of Glasswall Studio featured on Spectre Media Group and “Cognitive Ability” is the first official track to make use of the program for its production.
The track is a complete evolution of the band, showcasing how they have developed both as individual songwriters and as a collective unit. According to the band, Cognitive Ability is a close indication, a peek into what their future EP will sound like and what their unique sound has become.
“We”re excited to be releasing our second single,” said Alessandro, the vocalist of the band. “The track draws inspiration from a variety of bands, including Veil of Maya, Born of Osiris, Periphery, Architects, and Monuments. It bleeds into our writing style and sound, which can be heard in the best way. We’re working towards our EP and want to use Cognitive Ability to show the world what we can create.”
Cognitive Ability by Careless Sanctions was produced by Steve Eldridge of the band QUALIA and Mixing Engineer Jordon Beal who is also a part of the team behind Extinction Level Event drums. The song will be available on all music streaming platforms on October 7th and promises to be a pure delight for Metal fans across the spectrum ranging from Progressive Metal to Metalcore and everything in between.
