LLF Welcomes Two New Partners to the Team

Latimer LeVay Fyock continues to grow. The firm is pleased to welcome two new dynamic partners to the team.

Partner Monica Palermo focuses her practice in corporate law and business transactions, advising entrepreneurs and companies across a wide array of industries in all stages of their business development. Monica works extensively with hospitality, cannabis, and tech clients and has a strong and growing practice representing clients in the hemp-CBD space navigate the complex regulations governing hemp-derived CBD products.

Prior to joining LLF, Monica was the corporate and hospitality partner at Fuchs & Roselli. An NYC native, Monica played rugby for the University of Michigan, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in history. She attended law school at Loyola University Chicago School of Law.  In her spare time, Monica enjoys cycling outdoors and travels around the country competing in triathlons.  When not traveling, Monica can be found exploring Chicago’s many restaurants and outdoor cafes with her husband Juan Carlos and their rescue dog, Frankie.

Partner Laurence Landsman is a talented trial attorney with vast experience in the area of securities and financial industry litigation. He has represented investors for over twenty years in all aspects of securities fraud cases including fraudulent investments, misappropriation and theft of funds, and misrepresentation, among others.  He also has a focus of representing financial advisors engaged in disputes with former employers in the brokerage industry for issues relating to wrongful discharge, constructive discharge and defamation in connection with Form U-5 disclosures.

Laurence graduated from Syracuse University with a B.A. in Political Science and received his law degree, cum laude, from IIT/Chicago-Kent College of Law.  He is a published author who has written several papers appearing in respected journals and magazines on topics such as “A New Option for Resolving Investment Fraud Disputes” and “Strengthening Public Pension Funds by Attacking Investment Fraud,” among others.  Laurence is also a past Chairman of the Chicago Bar Association Securities Law Committee and is a member of the Advisory Board to the Loyola Consumer Law Review.  In his spare time, Laurence enjoys playing golf, skiing, cooking and spending time with friends and family.
