Recently this company has launched a worldwide $30 million technology grant program, which includes the $1 million grant to Puerto Rico. The initiative for Puerto Rico began in partnership with The Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce of Florida and their Founder /CEO Elizabeth Cuevas. The official announcement was given at the Phoenix Award Dinner in the DoubleTree by Hilton Tampa, FL.

The $1 million dollar donation was presented on December 14, 2019 by OETI Executive Director Jim Kurtz and Chief Technology Officer Brett Miller to the mayor of Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, Mr. Carlos Méndez Martínez. The donation was then delivered to fifty farmers of Puerto Rico in an event hosted by Elizabeth Cuevas (Puertorrican Chamber of Commerce of Florida) at the Manuel Méndez Ballester Municipal Theater located in the Aguadilla City Hall. Applications and information forms were submitted and installations on Puertorrican farms began later that day.
