Followed on from the university successes in 2021 at Wellington College Tianjin, with 3 Oxbridge offers, it is delightful to share the achievement of one of the year 13 pupils from Wellington international high school. Nicole, a student who has been with this international school in Tianjin for 10 years, has received an offer from Oxford University.
Jayne Sabio, the Head of the University Guidance team, stated, “This is an amazing achievement. Nicole personifies what it is to be a Wellingtonian and we are all so happy for her.”
Executive Master Julian Jeffrey added that, “I am so delighted for Nicole, her family and her teachers. This offer is recognition of her years of hard work and is thoroughly deserved. The entire Wellington group offers Nicole our congratulations on this great news.”
Nicole, of course, was delighted with the news and commented, “I was so thrilled to find out I was offered a place to study at Oxford University. I could not believe it at first sight. However, I can confidently say that it was a true testament of hard work throughout my 10 years at Wellington College International Tianjin. I would like to thank my teachers, friends, family and school for being ever so supportive and encouraging throughout the admissions process. It simply would not have been possible without them. Lastly, for students who are wishing to apply to Oxford in the future, I would like to say anything is possible if you aim high and work hard to achieve your goal.”
Wellington College Tianjin now looks towards the end of January as the pupils eagerly anticipated the results of their candidates for Cambridge University and further offers from around the world.
